FAQ

If the answer to your question isn't covered in the information below, please feel free to contact us via email or phone.

Is there a cost associated with getting an estimate?

We do not provide free quotes or estimates. If you would like to book an initial consultation with one of our representatives at our office or in your home, we can schedule that anytime, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. We can discuss the details of your renovation or new home build and provide you with some options for proceeding forward with your project.

Will Mike Holmes come and help me?

Make It Right Construction is not part of Mike Holmes' television series. We are contract professionals for hire. We are Mike's Make It Right team, applying our skill, knowledge, experience and services to home renovations and custom home construction.

For all inquiries regarding Mike Holmes, please go to makeitright.ca/contact-us and select General Inquiries when filling out the form.

Can I speak to someone for advice on my current project?

Make It Right Construction cannot provide legal advice or comment on the specifics of any project we have not visually and personally assessed. In many cases, providing the wrong advice can cause more harm than good. As such, we cannot advise on any job we have not seen for ourselves.

You may contact us to book an estimate appointment by calling (647) 253-0305.

Should I speak to an architect or engineer first?

An architect or engineer can assist you prior to receiving a quote from Make It Right Construction. Having the working drawings and designs will benefit you when it comes to the bidding process for your project, as any estimate you receive will be much more accurate if the details have already be outlined. We have architects, engineers and design services that we work with on hand; however, we can work with any firm you choose.

What is your current service area?

We are currently serving Toronto and the GTA, as well as surrounding areas.

How quickly can I speak with someone?

We follow up on all phone calls and website requests within 48 hours of initial contact.

How quickly can you start a job?

Currently, we are booking 4 to 6 months in advance from the estimate date, depending on the complexity and size of the job, as well as the scope of the work. For a more exact timeline, an in-person estimate and consultation is required.

What information should I have before requesting an estimate?

We recommend all potential clients to have the following information ready when booking an estimate or consultation:

a. Approximate project budget
b. Estimated start and completion date
c. Architectural drawings/plans are an asset

We are happy to go over the details of the work and give you a general breakdown of the job during our initial consultation, and review with you any issues and details pertaining to your specific project.
